I anticipate having a good amount of time left before I get going, I imagine really getting started with the home 6 months to a year from now. I have a tendency to amass loads information and then going forward in a cautious manner. My desire is to find some land in the foothills of the Central Oregon Coast and then put a modular home on it. I am actively looking for the land now, but I am stymied about the modular home. I am reading Prefabulous and Sustainable: Building and Customizing an Affordable, Energy-Efficient Home by Koones, and have purchased but haven't started yet The Modular Home by Gianino. I have done cursory searches for modular home anything for Oregon on the internet, but I seem to keep getting stymied, as the websites for the Oregon area all seem to be for manufactured homes which I know I do not want. It may well be too soon to be concerned with the modular home at this point, but I do rather like looking at floor plans and such. And then, as I have noticed, on this very useful website, you also recommend seeking a builder first. Would there be a likely candidate for the Lincoln County Oregon? Thank you in advance, Stephanie
