With the summer months upon us, people are spending more time outdoors. Do you have a home patio, pool or garden you like to sit at and enjoy? If you’re getting bored with your outdoor scenery, let me help! Here are a few home garden ideas that can spruce up any outdoor space!
- Replace your garden rocks with recycled glass! Anywhere you would use rocks as an accent or boarder, replace it with these colorful glass nuggets instead! With an array of colors to choose from, this is a home garden idea that will leave you with a plethora of new design ideas! Take this home garden idea one step further and use recycled glass in the pots for your house plants!
- Add a pop of color to your patio furniture. If your home garden or patio furniture is looking a little drab, grab a can of paint and go to town! The more vibrant the paint color, the better! Not sure what color to pick? Head to the clearance paint section and pick the most obnoxious color you can find! I promise, the more outrageous, the more life your outdoor sanctuary is going to have!
- Make your own DIY fire pit for your outdoor hang out spot! Nothing is more fun (or cozy) than curling up outside in front of a fire! …especially if you have fixings for s’mores! These pictures are great for home garden ideas that include a fire pit!
- Add a reading nook to your home patio! Not only does this outdoor day bed look extremely comfortable (I would love to curl up and nap in it right now!) but when you add accessories, this nook becomes the center of attention for your outdoor patio or porch. This is one of my favorite home garden ideas and I’ll be working on making my own this summer!
- Get creative with your outdoor lighting! Put away those flood lights and porch lights! Set an ambiance with these DIY outdoor lighting projects! My personal favorite is the wine bottle torches (but maybe that’s just because I really like wine haha!)
