Hey people, new guy here. Never, ever considered a modular home until today. Now I must know everything about that. First off I'm poor. I have no cash. I have 800 credit and 100k salary but very little cash. I live in NYC and I have a studio for 1,000 and I'm tired of living this way. I want to get some cheap land upstate and put a modular home on it and try to spend as little money as possible but I'm starting to see that no matter what option you choose, it becomes expensive. Here are my options.

    1) Buy a fixer upper. ( I have no skills. )
    2) Buy some land and build my own house. ( No skills again. Lol )
    3) Buy some land and get a modular home. ( Ding Ding Ding! )

I like option 3 the most. I have a lot more reading to do on modular homes but I'm going to get on it asap. Is there anyway I can pull this all off for around 100,000? I'm looking in the Putnam County area in New York. How hard is it to set up utilities? And will I be able to get a loan?

I have so many questions and I don't know where to start! I feel I need to take this next step in life or it's going to kill me, please help!
